Sandy Skoglund

Sandy's works mainly were based on surrealists images and turned into a live set also known as a tableaux. Skogland would then take the time to select different objects to place on the sets, including young children. Sandy then would add actors or extras and take photographs. These works usually include a monochromatic scheme or contrasting colors. Sandy's photos would tend to open up interchange between the artificial and the natural.
Later on in life she focused her time around filmmaking, printmaking, and multimedia art. She them titled herself as a conceptual artist and began introducing herself to the world of photography. The reason she wanted to achieve photography was so she could document her life as an artist. She enjoyed working with repetition within her photos.
