Jess Dair

Jess Davila is a self taught artist. Jess varies his sculptures in size from miniature to monumental. His materials that he uses include, sandstone, alabaster, marble or limestone. His main focus was to explore a unique contemporary style. Davilla was inspired by the shape, color and texture of various stone mediums. Other inspiration comes from his personal experiences and the beauty he sees in all of his surroundings. The use of his various types of stone invoke strong emotions from his audience that views his works. Everything is intentional including the natural patterns of the stone he chose to the finished piece. Jess also captures his sculpture in bronze and uses a process that involves the "Lost Wax" method.
His other goal was to help inspired other people to find their hidden artist talents, which was a create inspiration. This is the best part because he shares the fruits of his talent and gives back to the place where he came from.
